Extreme for everyone in Kabardino-Balkaria


This trip is a great opportunity to explore Kabardino-Balkarian part of the Caucasus in the most adventurous way. You will live in a small village deep in the mountains. You will see waterfalls and ancient monuments. And all this will go along with different extreme activities: off-road ride, paragliding, rope jumping, zipline and other.

Full itinerary


We meet you at the hotel in Nalchik where all the group stays for the first overnight. In the evening we take you for dinner, so that you can get to know all members of your team for the next days.
After dinner we have a short walk across Nalchik.

We start right after breakfast. For this day we have big plans! We visit beautiful lake Gizhgit on our way to Elbrus area and go up the volcano Elbrus in cable cars (max. height 3850m). Then, we must reach a small ancient village El-Tubu in the other gorge where we go by an off road cars with local drivers through a path high in the mountains (only locals know this path well enough to not to get lost).
In the evening we arrive in El-Tubu, enjoy beautiful sunset and have tasty traditional dinner with a local family in their house.

On this day we explore the potential of Chegem paragliding camp.  On foot we go to the camp and everyone chooses what he likes more: zip-line, rope jump (height 50 m) or paragliding (their cost is not included).

We have tasty dinner at the camp, walk, relax, talk to local extreme lovers and then return to El-Tubu village.

We explore ancient part of the village and after that we go deeper into the gorge. We visit beautiful rapid waterfalls and enter pre-border area (in a couple of kilometers from Georgia). There we enjoy huge mountains views, try out hidden in the wood mineral springs, visit an old (Soviet times) ghost-camp and roast tasty shashlik.

Rock climbing (bouldering) in Lechinkay village area with a local  instructor. 
After that, we finally arrive in Nalchik. After the hotel check-in, we have the last farewel dinner, so that you will be able to exchange contacts and emotions after all the adventures.

Tour impressions


  • You will spend time mostly in Chegem gorge where it is usually windy and somtimes foggy. So, don’t forget warm clothes. You will also need it on Elbrus. Besides, you will need comfortable shoes for walking, sunglasses, a sunscreen, a hat.
  • People living in the North Caucasus are mostly muslims,so modest clothing that covers knees and shoulders is appropriate
  • You will visit pre-border area, for entering it you need a border permit. You don’t have to pay for it additionally, but it takes 30-60 days to receive it. We will need your passport scans to apply for the permit.
